Just completed a remix for the Kassassin Street boys. Was a great pleasure and a lot of fun working on it. These guys are incredible which just makes remixing so much easier and I’m really stoked on how it turned out.

RockSteady EP Release Date

Hi there and sorry about the lack of updates. After so much procrastination it’s ridiculous, I’ve finally set a date for the release of my RockSteady EP – a digital only four track release, it will be available on iTunes from the 6th of June 2013.

I’m really excited about this one – it’s kind of a bridge for me, featuring a couple of tracks you might have heard on Skyhooks, plus two new tracks that hopefully start to show where I’m trying to go.

Skyhooks back on iTunes

Following a little indiscretion regarding sample clearance on the song Dear God, Virgin Records asked me to withdraw Skyhooks from iTunes and remove the offending track. I duly obliged of course not wanting to face the wrath of the big guns. Good news is that it should be available again in a few days time, now containing 9 fantastic tracks rather than 10 which is potentially an improvement if you’re in a hurry.

At some point I’ll maybe put the track back through the big machine and come up with a remix sans illegal noises but that probably won’t be for a while.

Free Download – Live Set from EQ

So I’ve put up a recording of the live set I did at club EQ the other week. I’m not sure it went down as well as I’d have liked - think everybody came in the mood to dance and doom rock and trip hop just isn’t gonna satisfy that itch. Still, I hope everybody had a good night in the end, and a few people said they wanted to hear it again so here it is, maybe it will fit better on your headphones, in the car or whilst doing the washing up.

Apologies for a typically late update once again. I was asked to put together a playlist for the Friends of Pet Sounds feature on the Strong Island site. I put together a playlist outlining the influence of Italian composer Ennio Morricone over the years. This Saturday at Club EQ in Southsea I’m playing what’s billed as a ‘showcase set of original material’. What that entails is several of my own tracks interspersed with a selection of hip hop, trip hop and shoegaze doom rock mixed into a musical smorgasbord like you’ve never heard before. I’m sure Chas and Handsome Dave Rocker will be following it up with some party bangers so I’m sure you’ll all go home happy in the end. Would be great to have your support so swing by if you can.
